December proved to be a full and meaningful month in Buckingham Township, highlighted by important milestones celebrated at the Board of Supervisors meeting held on Wednesday, December 17.
At the meeting, the Township proudly welcomed three new officers to the Buckingham Township Police Department, strengthening the department’s continued commitment to public safety and community service. In addition, the Board recognized the well-earned promotion of Sergeant Hazlett to Lieutenant, acknowledging his leadership, dedication, and service to the Township. Residents can read more about the new officers and promotion on the Police Department’s Crimewatch page.
The Board also proudly appointed members of the Township’s 325th Anniversary Committee to the Buckingham Township Historic Commission. Comprised of loyal and passionate residents, the 325 Committee successfully led a year-long celebration honoring Buckingham Township’s history. Their deep appreciation for the Township’s heritage made them a natural choice to help guide and preserve its historic legacy moving forward.
Among the many important orders of business, the Township took time to honor one of its long-serving leaders, Paul Calderaio, for his extraordinary dedication and service. Paul has devoted a total of 25 years to Buckingham Township, he began his service to Buckingham Township as an elected Auditor and volunteer with the Township’s 300th Anniversary Committee, experiences that inspired him to run for office. He was elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2013.
During his 12-year tenure as a Supervisor, Paul helped lead numerous significant projects—many of which will leave a lasting legacy for the Township and its residents. As his years of service come to a close, Buckingham Township extends its deepest gratitude and sincere thanks for his integrity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the community.
As December comes to an end, Buckingham Township reflects on a month filled with recognition, service, and appreciation.
