FROM CRIMEWATCH PAGE BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP'S OFFICIAL POLICE WEBSITE
A MESSAGE FROM CHIEF SCIRROTTO Welcome to the Buckingham Township Police Department's official Crimewatch webpage. Our aim is for this site to provide you with access to useful information regarding the department's public safety programs and services, community involvement and special events. Thank you for the opportunity and honor to serve as the Chief of Police in Buckingham Township. My job, however, would not be possible without the amazing men and women of the BTPD, both sworn and non-sworn, with whom I have the privilege of serving alongside every day. I am confident there is no finer staff serving anywhere than right here in your hometown. Together, we serve the residents of Buckingham Township, the larger regional community, and the thousands of citizens who work in and travel through the Township every day. BTPD is committed to providing the highest level of police services including emergency response, high visibility patrol, community engagement, quality criminal investigation, and addressing traffic safety issues. The department is tasked with providing these services 24 hours a day all year long. Paramount in every aspect of our work is the protection of the rights of all those with whom we interact with. We strive to collaborate with the greater law enforcement community to maximize our capabilities. BTPD members also serve on the Central Bucks County Special Response Team (CBSRT), Bucks County Drug Task Force, Regional Crash Investigation Team, Regional Crime Scene Team, and FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, among others. In addition to our sworn officers, we also have a team of civilian staff who support BTPD's mission in a variety of ways. The civilian team handles duties including evidence custody and processing, training coordination, records management, as well as aiding in the management of our social media footprint, community policing initiatives, and our future internship program. On behalf of each member of this organization, I want to express our commitment to providing police services with the utmost respect, compassion, and excellence as we strive to maintain the quality of life that you expect here in Buckingham Township. Yours in Service, David J. Scirrotto Chief of Police
