COVID-19 Letter to the Residents from Buckingham Township Board of Supervisors, May 6, 2020

May 6, 2020

Dear Residents,

Our entire community remains under the RED PHASE of the Governor’s plan to reopen Pennsylvania. The Stay-at-Home order remains in effect until we move out of the RED PHASE and will extend past the original May 8th projected date. We continue to provide our community with uninterrupted Police, Fire, EMS, and all other essential services. Our offices will remain closed to the public until at least May 18th and will reopen by appointment only.

As the Commonwealth begins the slow process of reopening, the Board of Supervisors and our staff are looking forward. We are working on mitigation strategies with our staff, Bucks County Emergency Management, and public health officials. Our departments have implemented operational changes to protect both residents and staff. For example, you will see staff wearing masks when necessary and maintaining social distances. Our offices have been deep cleaned in accordance with the Health Department guidance. We are diligently working on physical changes to our facilities.

Under the Governor’s Plan, we cannot rent fields to teams at this time. Information and requirements are changing weekly. The Township continues to monitor updates and will be making decisions on summer activities and programs in the near future.

We all look a little different with our masks. Our offices will look different. But we will have the same dedicated staff serving you, our residents, during this unprecedented time.

We and our entire staff stand with you, our residents, during this difficult time. The individual actions of taking care of ourselves, our friends, and our families are still the best way to fight this pandemic. Please follow the Governor’s guidance. We remain in the RED PHASE. Stay home, wear your mask if you must travel, wash your hands, and keep yourselves safe. We are alone together in this fight.

Thank you all and stay safe,

Buckingham Township Board of Supervisors
